Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (12/4/15)

 

Objectives: 1) (8P) I can introduce my family. 2) I can sight read all learned Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Family paragraph writing assignment is due on Friday, 12/11/15. 2) Lesson Six vocabulary quiz: Monday, 12/14/15. Lesson Six oral exam starts from Tuesday, 12/15/15. 3) Lesson Six chapter test: Thursday, 12/17/15. 4) Mid-term exam: (writing, listening) Thursday, 1/7/16 and (MC—reading, culture, grammar) Friday, 1/8/16. Oral exam starts from Monday, 1/11/16. 5) Read textbook pages 47 and bottom of 48.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Any family pictures? Take one netbook, turn it on, activate a browser and set aside. View field trip pictures. 2) Character speed recognition.
  2. (3P) 1) Return character worksheet and chapter test papers. 2) Go over common writing mistakes. 3) View community service project pictures. Brainstorm ideas for next year (2/13/16).
  3. 1) Teach new characters (家, 有, 没, 个, 和).
  4. (8P) Go over Family Paragraph Writing Assignment.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (12/4/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can review for my test.   2) I can write Chinese number characters. 3) I can explore origami.

Homework: 1) Test #1: Monday, 12/7/15. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Review 20 Chinese characters + greetings.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (17 characters) + test simulation (greeting terms + classroom expressions). 2) Teach 3 characters (shi, ling, bai). Collect.
  2. 1) Pass out colored papers. 2) Origami time.
