Procedures for 1/27/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (1/27/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer conversation questions in Chinese. 2) I can build grammar foundation through review activities.

Homework: 1) Oral exam starts and ends tomorrow. 2) VC (Lesson Seven writing practice) is due by the end of tonight. 3) Study for chapter test (Friday, 2/29/16).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Take a netbook, turn it on, and set aside. Captains check Grammar Corrections / Unscrambled Sentences worksheet. Announce Chinese New Year celebration even at CSU. 2) Skit presentation (3P: James + Luke). 4) Go over Grammar corrections / Unscrambled sentences worksheet.
  2. Seat work: conversation question practice + VC (writing practice) ó Chang returns 3P skit checklist.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (1/27/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy.    

Homework: Review 21 learned terms / 8 Chinese characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (Miranda, Jason, Mario, Ethan)—China reading packet. Announce Chinese New Year celebration event at CSU. 2) Quick review (16 terms / 6 characters). 3) Teach terms (qi li, jing li, qing zuo, quo xia, tong xue men hao). 4) Teach characters (日, 月). Collect writing assignment papers.
  2. 1) Video clip: Chinese calligraphy. 2) Showcase artifacts (four treasures of study).
