Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (1/28/16)


Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of asking and answering conversation questions in Chinese. 2) I can prepare my chapter test through review work.

Homework: Lesson Seven character worksheet is due tomorrow


  1. 1) Opening routine. Quick review of all learned Lesson Seven characters. 2) Clarify a few misconceptions.
  2. 1) While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam, you can 1) practice writing problems on the board, 2) practice oral conversation questions, 3) review 7 Lesson Seven VC activities, and 4) go over grammar corrections and unscrambled sentences worksheet.
  3. If you are all done, try the following enrichment videos (1-4 are easy and 5-7 are challenging with a few new measure words): 1) (FluentU Chinese: Possession and the Particle ‘De” 1, 0:38), 2) (FluentU Chinese: Kittens and Puppies, 0:16), 3) (FluentU Chinese: Lesson 14, 0:21) 4) (FluentU Chinese: To Have and Not to Have, 0:28), 5) (FluentU Chinese: Numbers, Counting, and Measure Words 1, 1:00), 6) (FluentU Chinese: Numbers, Counting, and Measure Words 2, 0:51), 7) (FluentU Chinese: Numbers, Counting, and Measure Words 3, 1:29).


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (1/28/16)


Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions. 2) I can write simple Chinese number characters. 3) I can explore Chinese folk art of paper cutting.    

Homework: 1) Review all 26 learned terms and 11 Chinese characters. 2) Complete paper-cut patterns, if not done in class.


  1. 1) Return 8 picture character writing assignment. Take one copy of double happiness paper-cut pattern. Makeup work (Mario, Lana, Miranda, Cassidy). Quick review (terms + 8 characters). 2) Teach new terms (dong le ma, dong le, bu dong, dui bu qi, mei guan xi). 3) Teach (一, 二, 三)
  2. Complete two paper-cut patterns.
