Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (1/13/16)


Objectives: 1) (3P) I can showcase my mastery of asking and answering conversation questions in Chinese for my midterm oral exam. 2) I can prepare for my speed character recognition quiz. 3) I can create a skit independently or with a partner by applying what I have learned in class. (4) (8P) I can find out how well I did in my midterm exam through examining my work.

Homework: 1) Review learned lessons 2-6 Chinese characters. 2) Lessons 5-7 Skit is due on Friday, 1/22/16.


  1. 1) Opening routine. Take one copy of Lessons 5-7 skit checklist. 2) Speed character recognition practice.
  2. 1) Go over speed character recognition handout. 2) Go over Lessons 5-7 skit checklist. 3) (8P) Go over midterm exam grade ó (3P) Complete oral exam (Scott, Siena, Dylan, Adam, Zachary, Kaitlyn). 4) Pair work: skit or speed character recognition.




Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (1/13/16)


Objectives: 1) I can create an art project with what I have learned in Chinese class. 2) I can gain knowledge and ideas through viewing peer’s work. 3) (7P) I can understand the significance of acquiring a world language in the 21st century.

Homework: N/A


  1. While Ms. Chang collects / checks your art project (6P: Marko, Tommy, Joe, Faris, Dominic, Scott, Reece, Annette, Daniel; 8P: Justin, Beth, Rachel, Tina), please do other homework by following school policy. 2) Clean up your Chinese folder. Return all usable flash cards and handouts.
  2. 1) Interested in presentation? 2) (7P) Picture time. 3) (7P) Video clips: barking fish / bilingual cat / Be tough.
