Procedures for 1/14/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (1/14/16)

 

Objectives: 1) (3P) I can review my midterm grade. 2) I can name animals with proper measure words. 3) I can create a skit independently or with a partner by applying what I have learned in class. 4) I can reinforce concept of animals through singing a song.

Homework: 1) Know all learned Lesson Seven characters by Tuesday, 1/19/16. 3) Pet paragraph is due on Thursday, 1/21/15. 4) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Take a copy of pet paragraph checklist. Draw a number as your 3rd quarter seating. 2) Teach new characters (宠, 物, 很, 真, 凶).
  2. 1) (8P) Song time: 两只老虎. 2) (3P) Pass out midterm grade slips / Go over midterm grades / grading. 3) Skit time.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (1/14/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand the importance of acquiring a world language and/or Chinese in current world. 2) (7P) I can self-assess my growth in Chinese learning through a post-assessment. 3) I can gain knowledge about Chinese pop culture.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) (6P) Promoting world language learning (barking fish / bilingual cat / Be tough). 2) Promoting Chinese language learning. 3) (7P) Post-assessment.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese school system. 2) Game time: Follow the Leader. 3) Video clips: Chinese pop music / advertisement.
