Procedures for 1/20/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (1/20/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of sight reading Chinese characters. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions about pets. 3) I can sight read and comprehend text passages fluently and accurately.

Homework: 1) Reflection on midterm exam and self-assessment of 2nd Learning Objectives are due by the end of today. 2) Complete your quiz by the end of today. 3) Pet paragraph is due tomorrow. 4) Read text pages 57-58 (sentence patterns).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. 2) Go over text passages on pages 54-55. 3) Go over pet paragraph handout (moving subject around).
  2. While Ms. Chang conducts speed character recognition quiz, you can work on 1) skit, 2) reflection, 3) self-assessment, 4) speed character recognition quiz, and 5) your pet paragraph.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (1/20/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s grading policy.   2) I can complete Student Inventory. 3) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.

Homework: Review 4 learned greeting terms (ni hao, ni shi, wo shi).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Any signature slip? Get one netbook. Get a copy of Greeting Terms / Classroom Expressions / Introduction to Chinese Hanyu Pinyin handout. 2) Go over Ms. Chang’s grading policy.
  2. 1) Complete Student Inventory. 2) Introduce / go over greeting terms handout. 3) Teach (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi).
