Procedures for 1/26/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (1/26/16)


Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test through writing and listening activities. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can present a skit that I created independently or with a partner.

Homework: 1) 2 VCs (Pets in China, Reading Comprehension) are due by the end of tonight. 2) Grammar corrections / Unscrambled sentences worksheet and 1 VC (writing practice) are due tomorrow.


  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Take a netbook, turn it on, activate a browser, and set aside. 2) Go over textbook page 61. 3) Writing practice. 4) Conversation modeling. 5) Complete skit presentation (3P: Mark, Derrick)
  2. Seat work: 1) Grammar Corrections / Scrambled Sentences Worksheet. 2) Conversation question practice. 3) VC: listening activity (due today).




Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (1/26/16)


Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain and answer geographic knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Complete / Submit China reading packet by the end of tonight. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. Will collect tomorrow. 3) Review 16 learned terms and 6 Chinese characters.

  1. 1) Take a netbook, turn it on and set aside. Quick review. 2) Teach new terms (Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi). 3) Teach character (人).
  2. 1) Video clips: Introduction to China / Beijing / Shanghai. 2) Seat work: China reading packet. 3) Complete paper cutting patterns, if time is available.
