Procedures for 2/9/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (2/9/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about nationality and language skills. 2) I can sharpen my listening skills through viewing an authentic movie. 3) I can demonstrate my language skill and cultural knowledge by performing for other classes.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) YouTube videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHaEtDV_39w, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUxAhYRbFvI) will be used in chapter test listening comprehension part.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. The following students see Ms. Chang during 6P E/I to complete missed assignments (Derrick, Heesung, Ryan, James, Zachary, Scott, Luke). 2) Quick rehearsal. 3) In-school field trip.
  2. 1) Teach new characters (澳, 利, 亚, 洲, 请, 问). 2) (3P) Conversation question practice. 3) Movie time.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (2/9/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers, and Great Wall of China. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can name family members in Chinese.
Homework: Quiz #1: tomorrow.
Procedure:

  1. 1) Return test #2. Take one copy of oral presentation handout. 2) Go over quiz #1 taking strategy. 3) Go over oral presentation handout. 4) Teach (sui, baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei). 5) Write sentences #1 and #2.
  2. 1) Video clip: Great Wall of China. 2) Culture reading: Chinese lucky /unlucky numbers.
