Procedures for 3/2/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (3/2/16)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my favorite sports in Chinese. 2) I can invite people for activities. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about popular sports in China. 4) I can create a skit independently or with a partner.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Complete 2 VCs (Basketballs in China, 6 Important Sports in China) by the end of tonight.
Procedure:
1. 1) Opening routine. Take one netbook, turn it on, and set aside. Report to Ms. Chang at your 6P lunch period. (3P: Heesung, Scott, Ryan, Luke) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Talk to Ms. Chang if you are interested in participating Confucius Institute’s essay and/or speech contest. 2) Quick review + Supplementary information.
2. 1) Quick review. 2) Conversation questions Q/A. 3) Teach new characters (踢, 足, 足球, 去, 吧). 3) Seat work: Complete 2 VCs + Skit.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (3/2/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain geographical and cultural knowledge about China.
Homework: 1) Test #1 (Greeting Terms / Classroom Expression): Monday, 3/14/16. 2) Review 8 Greeting terms. 3) Complete 1 character writing assignment. 4) China reading packet is due by the end of tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a copy of handout (20 Chinese characters). Any signature slip? 2) Review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi, Lao Shi Hao). 3) Teach (Zai Jian, Wu An, Wan An).
2. 1) Go over the structure of Chinese 20 Chinese characters handout. 2) Teach Chinese character (山). 3) Video clip: mountain. 4) Pass out / go over China reading packet.
