Procedures for 4/20/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (4/20/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my proficiency in reading authentic materials.  2) I can ask and gain cultural knowledge about Chinese food.

Homework: 1) SLO reading activity (VC) is due at the end of the class period.  2) Know all learned characters by Friday, 4/22/16.  3) Culture reading (VC activities: Chinese Cooking, Differences between Chinese and Western food) are due by the end of Friday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Take a netbook, turn it on, and set aside.  (3P: Siena, Suzie, Liam; 8P: Dylan, George) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  2) SLO reading activity.
  2. If you are done, you can do the following seat work: 1) Conversation question Q/A. 2) Skit brainstorm session.  3) Fix mistakes in your PPT slides.  4) VC activities.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (4/20/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters.
Homework: 1) Test #1 (Greeting Terms / Classroom Expression): Tuesday, 5/3/16. 2) Review 9 Greeting terms. 3) Complete 1 character writing assignment. 4) China reading packet is due at the end of Friday, 4/22/16.
Procedure:

  1. 1) Get a copy of handout (20 Chinese characters). Any signature slip?  2) Review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi, Lao Shi Hao).  3) Teach (Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao).
  2. 1) Go over the structure of Chinese 20 Chinese characters handout. 2) Teach Chinese character (山).
