Procedures for 4/29/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (4/29/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can create slides to express my preferences of food and drinks.  2) I can name common food items in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Grammar corrections and scrambled sentences worksheet is due on next Monday.  2) Lessons 10-11 skit presentation starts on Friday, 5/6/2016. 3) Watch YouTube videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8Y0lrcVnYA, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSOz0qaCIKE)

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. 2) Turn in your checklist and script hard copy.
  2. (3P) Seat work: 1) Grammar Corrections / Scrambled Sentences worksheet. 2) Conversation questions practice.  3) Work on Lesson 11 PPT slides.
  3. (8P) 1) Teach new characters (鸡, 肉, 鸡肉, 牛肉, 鱼肉, 猪肉, 蝦, 炸, 炸鸡, 炸鱼片, 炸虾片, 生鱼片). 2) Grammar Corrections / Scrambled Sentences worksheet.  3) Conversation questions practice.  4) Work on Lesson 11 PPT slides.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (4/29/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting and how Chinese characters evolved from pictures.      

Homework: Review 24 terms + 8 characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return Chinese character writing assignment. (Reyna, Alex, Jennifer) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  2) Quick review (20 terms + 8 characters). 3) Teach (qi li, jing li, qing zuo, zuo xia).
  2. 1) Video clips: Chinese calligraphy + Chinese painting + character animation (person / people, sun, moon). 2) Culture reading: Chinese Mealtime Customs.  3) Showcase class pictures of Chinese traditional painting lesson + artifacts for Chinese calligraphy.
