Procedures for 5/6/16

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (5/6/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name common food items in Chinese.  2) I can present a skit independently or with a partner.

Homework: 1) Complete PPT slides for food / drinks, chopstick holding and cooking skills.  2) 4 VCs are due by the end of Monday, 5/9/2016.   3) Turn in your kite with checklist by Monday, 5/9/2016.  4) Read textbook pages 96-97.  5) Watch 3 YouTube videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcN7aGIVHsU,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRV1lElwclg,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csEnBoV01Rs)

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Turn in your checklist for kite-making project.  Bonus point opportunities.  (Alyssa / Hailey, Heesung / Camille, Luke / Devin, Daniel / Kevin R. ??) see Ms. Chang at 6P, please.  2) Teach (柠, 檬, 冰淇淋, 冰水, 冰茶, 冰咖啡, 古, 古老, 古老肉).  3) Go over textbook pages 93-95.  4) Go over enrichment food handout for possible words used in listening comprehension.
  2. Skit presentation (3P: Scott / Jacob; 8P: Oliver / Dylan, Alex / Parker, Kevin W. / Mark) / Video showcase (Zachary / Deriick, Dylan F. / Greg, George).

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 7P (5/6/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / write numbers in Chinese.  2)  I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky / unlucky numbers and Chinese tea.  3) I can sample various teas.      

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review 17 Chinese characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Jennifer talks to Ms. Chang, please. Quick review (14 characters).  2) Teach (七, 八, 九).  3). Culture reading: Lucky and Unlucky Numbers.
  2. 1) Video clip: Chinese tea. 2) Showcase artifacts: Teas.  3) Tea time.  4) Game time.
