Procedures for 8/19/2016

Procedures for HS 1P / 2P Chinese IV Class (8/19/16)

 

Objectives: 1) (1P) I can sing children songs in Chinese. 2) I can read text passages fluently and accurately. 3) (1P) I can gain cultural knowledge through viewing a movie.
Homework: 1) Review body parts handout for game on next Monday. 2) Practice singing. 3) Practice reading Lessons 2, 4, and 5 for next Monday. 4) (1P) Transfer your notes to Story Map.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? Any supplies? Make sure you have two sets of handouts today. Go over fire drill procedures, etc. Check your e-mail account for the 3rd e-mail, please. 2) Review body parts. 3) Pair activity: practice reading Lessons 2, 4, & 5. 4) (1P) Song time.
2. (1P) 1) Go over movie map. 2) Movie time.

 

Procedures for MS 5P Chinese I Class (8/19/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can use chopsticks to pick up items.
Homework: Review greeting terms and be able to write their pinyin combination.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? Any supplies? Turn in your Student Inventory (Treyven). Check accuracy of your parent’s e-mail address. 2) Quick review.
2. 1) Teach “Introduction to Pinyin.” 2) Teach greeting terms (#1-#5).
3. 1) Fun time. Celebration!! 2) Ms. Chang passes out a set of China reading packet.

 

Procedures for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (8/19/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can use chopsticks to pick up food.
Homework: Review 5 learned terms.
Procedure:
1.  1) Any signature slip?  Turn in your missed work (Zachary, Vlad, Joey, Leah, Jacob, Penelope).  2) Quick review.  3) Teach greeting terms.  4) Pair practice.
2. 1) Video clips (chopsticks).  2) Chopsticks practice.

 

Procedures for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (8/19/16)

Objectives: 1) I can set up an MathXL account.  2) I can showcase my math proficiency.
Homework: N / A
Procedure:
1.    1) Any signature slip?  Any supplies?  Turn in your Student Inventory (Tyler, Shawn, Alyssa, Bobbie, Maddie, Kaitlyn, Reene, Jimmy, Neela, Tommy, Jake, Leo, Ian, Sofia).  Have your chrome book ready.  2) Return math operation pre-assessment (Jimmy, Jake, Leo) to complete the back-side.
2.   1) Get a MathXL for School handout.  Fill out your name, course ID (XL05-P1DC-7020-3FQ3), teacher name (Ms. Chang), and course name (pre-algebra).  2) Set up your MathXL account.  Celebration!!
3.   Pre-assessment (number operation + equations).  Turn in your papers, completed or uncompleted.
