Procedures for 8/22/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (8/22/16)

Objectives: 1) I can create a presentation about my summer.  2) I can say and comprehend greeting terms / classroom expressions correctly.  3) (2P) I can gain cultural knowledge through viewing a movie.
Homework: 1) Review greeting terms / classroom expressions for tomorrow.  2) Project (Summer) is due on Tuesday, 9/6/16.  Oral presentation will follow on Wednesday, 9/7/16 and done by Friday, 9/9/16.  Draft your sentences a little bit a day.
Procedure:
1.  1) Apology!  Any signature slip?  Take one handout.  One illegible signature slip?? 2) Game time (body parts) + Quick review (listening and reading for body parts + reading Lessons 2, 4, 5 passages).
2.  1) Go over rubric.  2) Showcase sample work (Ms. Chang’s summer).  3) Pair work: Pass out 2nd handout.  Practice greeting terms / classroom expressions. Ms. Chang checks your supplies.   4) (2P) Go over Story Map.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (8/22/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can acquire basic geographical knowledge about China. 2) I can say greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Review learned terms (#1-#7) . 2) Complete China reading packet.  Turn in tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? 2) Quick review with marker and dry erase board. 3) Share your thought about being successful in this class.  4) Go over “China reading packet.”

2. 1) Teach 4 greeting terms (#6 and #7 and adding Bu2 Yong4 Xie4 to #7). 2) Pair work: China reading packet.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (8/22/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand what Pinyin is. 2) I can say simple greeting terms. 3) I can use chopsticks to pick up food.
Homework: Review learned terms (#1-#7).
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? (Joey, Jacob, Leah, Jeshurun) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review (#1-#5).
2. 1) Teach “Introduction to Pinyin.” 2) Teach greeting terms (#6-#7).
3. 1) Video clip (chopsticks). 2) Chopsticks time.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (8/22/16)

 

Objectives: I can demonstrate my math ability.
Homework: N/A
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? (Shawn, Tommy, Bobby, Leo) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Return papers and treat time.

2. Complete 1) Number Operation pre-assessment. 2) Unit 1 (Equations) pre-assessment.

3.  Read a book, play puzzles, or do other subject homework if you are done.
