Procedures for 8/23/16

Procedures for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (8/23/16)

Objectives: 1) I can describe weather condition accurately.  2) I can read text passages fluently and accurately.  3) (2P) I can gain cultural knowledge through viewing a movie.
Homework: 1) Review weather/season handout.  2) Read Ni Hao One Lessons 6, 7, and 8 text passages.
Procedure:
1.  1) Log on to your e-mail account.  Ms. Chang sent out the sample PPT sentences, grammar points/weather/seasons handout and a song lyrics yesterday.  2) Go over weather/season handout.  3) 4) Video clip (top).
2.  1) Pair activity: read text passages + weather / season handout + Ms. Chang’s sentences.  Questions?  Ms. Chang passes out textbook.  Sign your name on inventory sheet.  2) (2P) Movie time.

Procedures for MS 5P Chinese I Class (8/23/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese number characters. 3) I can utilize website resources to help me learn Chinese.
Homework: 1) Know meaning / pronunciation of 5 Chinese numbers by Friday. 2) Review learned terms (#1-#7, #11-#12). 3) Chinese character writing. assignment (one, two, three, four).
Procedure:
1. 1) School supplies are due tomorrow. Ms. Chang will pass out textbook if you bring in your book cover. Turn in your China reading packet. Take one copy of Lesson Three character worksheet. 2) Quick review w/dry erase board and marker. 3) Teach new greeting terms. 4) Video clip (top).

2. 1) Teach characters (一, 二, 三, 四)。2) Introduce a website utility for pronunciation.

 

Procedures for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (8/23/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can acquire culture knowledge about Chinese calligraphy and folk art of paper cut.
Homework: Review learned greeting terms (#1-#7, #10).
Procedure:
1. 1) Apology (Joey, Jacob). Quick review. 2) Review activity (Thank you + You’re welcome). 3) Teach greeting terms.
2. 1) Video clip (calligraphy / top). 2) Pass out artifacts (rice paper, brush pen, ink, ink stone, ink stick, color sticks) to touch.   Pass out paper patterns for tomorrow.

 

Procedures for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (8/23/16)

Objectives: I can demonstrate my math ability.
Homework: Complete / Correct 2 pre-assessment papers, if not done yet . Turn in for credit by the end of tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) (Connor) talks to Ms. Chang, please. Turn in your 2 pre-assessment papers for grade, please. Come to E/I for extra help, please.  2) Pair / group work: Bell work.  3) Join Pre-Algebra Google classroom by entering Class code: t0uf0ea. 4) Return papers and treat time.

2. Seat work time. Complete equation worksheets.
