Procedures for 8/26/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (8/26/16)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge through viewing a movie.  2) I can complete a narration story task.
Homework: 1) Narration is due next Monday.  Oral starts from Tuesday, 8/30/16.  2) Transfer your notes to story map.  3) Review Lesson Eight page 86 for reading and writing on next Monday, 8/29/16.
Procedure:
1.  1) Write down (Generation Information, Homework, Tests/Quizzes, Rubrics, Handouts) on your 5 tabs.  Draw a number as your order for presenting your Summer Activities Project.  Will send out an e-mail with all sickness symptoms for your reference today.  2) Read Lesson Eight text passages.
2.. 1) Seat work: Complete your narration (writing 10 sentences with beginning, middle and ending) and prepare your presentation with your partner.  2) Go over story map questions.  3) Movie time.

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (8/26/16)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / write my Chinese name correctly. 2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 3) I can write simple number characters.
Homework: 1) Know all 4 characters’ pronunciation and meaning. 2) Review terms #1-7, #11-#12.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get your netbook. Log into your e-mail. Treat time! (Frank, Elizabeth, Karli, Treyven) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Return Chinese name assignment. Questions / Feedback? Write down (Generation Information, Homework, Tests/Quizzes, Rubrics, Handouts) on your 5 tabs. 2) Download the attached syllabus.  Move two e-mails sent by Ms. Chang to your folder.  Download the syllabus. 3) Click a Yabla website link. Bookmark it. Go over your Chinese name pronunciation.

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (8/26/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese picture characters. 3) I can
Homework: 1) Test #1 (Greeting terms / Classroom expressions): Wednesday, 9/7. 2) Review learned terms (#1-#7, #10-#12).
Procedure:
1. 1) (Zach, Jeshurun, Jacob, Christian) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Take one copy of 20-character handout. Check your cutting paper patterns for grades. 2) Quick review. 2) Pass / go over square paper / handout.

2. 1) Teach new terms (wu an, wan an). 2) Teach characters (山, 木).

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (8/26/16)

Objectives: 1) I can reason out calculation mistakes (Team Challenges #1 & #2). 2) I can solve equations (pre-assessment #2 or POW#1).
Homework: 1) POW#1. Due next Friday. Ms. Chang will collect your work. 2) 2 pre-assessment papers are due on next Monday. 3) Unit 1 all level work is due on next Friday, 9/2/16. Level 5 work weighs 5 points.
Procedure:
1. 1) (T.J., Bobby) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Treat time!  Check Google Classroom. 2) Captains check supplies (Shawn, Bobby, Lily, Renee, Jimmy, Jeshurun, Leo, Ian, Connor). Write down (General information, Handouts, Homework, Tests / Quizzes, Projects) on your five tabs.

2. 1) Work on Team challenge for this week. Members stay the same until mid-September. 4) Sharing from last week’s Team Challenge. It is 10 points for last week and this week’s work. Will increase the weight in the future.
2. Ms. Chang checks your 2 pre-assessment papers. <=> Work on your homework (POW #1 or pre-assessment).
