Procedures for 9/13/16

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/13/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Chinese numbers. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about China and Chinese language.
Homework: 1) Google Docs with Ms. Chang your 4 comprehension questions by the end of class period (FA: 10 points). Type your and your partner’s name at the top of the document, please. 2) Know 3 characters and review (ia, ie) sections for activity tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get one netbook. Use it with a partner and Google Docs with Ms. Chang your 4 questions, please. (Marina, Elizabeth) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review (sounding numbers in Chinese). 3) Teach (于).
2. 1) Quiz #1. 2) While Ms. Chang conducts oral part <=> pair work: Read textbook pages 1-6 and generate 4 questions in four sections + Sounding out all syllables.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (9/13/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of knowing 20 Chinese characters. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tea.
Homework: Review sentences #1-#2.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one oral presentation handout. Turn in your 12 number character writing assignment, please. 2) Quick review. 3) Test #2.

2. 1) Go over oral presentation handout. 2) Teach (sui). 3) Write / Read sentences #1-#2. 3) Culture reading: Chinese tea.  4) Video clip: Chinese breakfast.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (9/13/16)

Objectives: I can make a table and graph to justify whether an question is linear or nonlinear equation.
Homework: MathXL work is due in class tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Check your PB for (i-Ready + POW #2) grades, please. (Leo, Grant, Renee: POW#2) talk to Ms. Chang, please. (Jake, Vanja, Ian, Tommy) talk to Ms. Chang, please.

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (9/13/16)

Objectives: 1) I can self-introduce myself. 2) I can read text passages fluently and accurately. 3) I can comprehend sickness symptoms.
Homework: 1) Complete self-introduction tomorrow. 2) Complete grammar corrections for discussion tomorrow today. 3) WB pages 83-84.
Procedure:
1. 1) (HR) The price is going up on September 30th, so currently you pay the lowest price of the school year. (1P: Hanna, Evy, Rianna, Aaron; 2P: Shaan, Paul) talk to Ms. Chang to confirm your date of taking chapter test, please. Introduce PB Resources link for resources. 2) Teach text pages 90-91.
