Procedures for 9/26/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (9/26/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of knowing 10 Chinese slangs / idioms. 2) I can use text messages to respond to birthday invitation. 3) I can narrate an imaginary story.
Homework: 1) Review page 101. 2) Chinese character writing assignment.
Procedure:
1. 1) (Sydney, Evy, Abigail, McKenna, Maddy, Jenna, Rianna, Aaron, Ian, Naomi, Sara) complete all tongue twister and text passages before school / before class by Wednesday. 2) Teach / Read text page 101. 2) Story narration (Sydney / Carolyn, Grace, Michael, Evy, … ).
2. 1) Quick review. 2) Quiz #1. 3) (2P) Read Ni Hao 2 Lessons 3 and 4.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/26/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of blending and discriminating compound vowels. 2) I can prepare for Lesson Three chapter test.
Homework: 1) Know all Chinese hand gestures for 10 numbers. 2) VC H/W (Rearranging Jumbled Numbers).
Procedure:
1. 1) Turn in your old Culture Knowledge chapter test paper. Get one netbook and log in, please. Lesson Three study guide for chapter test has been e-mailed to you. 2) Ms. Chang shows how you can access VC homework + how you can type Chinese characters with www.mdbg.net utility. 3) Go over text page 16. 4) If you are done with work, you can get enrichment paper for treat.
2. 1) Quiz #1. 2) While Ms. Chang conducts oral part <=> Retake Culture Knowledge chapter test + VC H/W (take a netbook) + other school work + enrichment paper.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (9/26/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of knowing colors and sibling terms. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese silk.
Homework: 1) Bring in school work + art supplies to work on your art project for tomorrow and Wednesday. No locker break. 2) Oral presentation starts from tomorrow. 3) Art project is due on Thursday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Draw a number as your oral presentation order. 2) Quick review + video clips for a color song + Chinese silk. 3) Quiz #2. 4) Read 10 sentences. 5) Showcase art project pictures + artifacts (silk yarn, silk cocoon, traditional and contemporary Chinese publications, abacus).

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (9/26/16)

Objectives: I can make a table and graph to justify whether a relation is function or non-function.
Homework: Worksheet #N is due in class tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one set of handout from the tray.
2) Go over question #7 on Practice worksheet #2 + discussion questions. 3) Seat Work: Practice Worksheet #2. Turn in your work <=> Ms. Chang returns all papers.
2. Pair / Seat work: 1) #1 & #2 from the handout today. 2) worksheet #N.
