Procedures for 9/14/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (9/14/16)

Objectives: 1) I can self-introduce myself. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test. 3) I can read text passages fluently and accurately.
Homework: WB pages 89 + 94.
Procedure:
1. 1) Please confirm with Ms. Chang if you choose to have S/U for Chinese IV.  (1P: Aaron, Hanna, Evy, Rianna, Grace, Jenna, Michael, Patrick; 2P: Shann) complete speak task #2 by the end of class period on Friday. 2) Ms. Chang checks WB pages 83-84. Go over answer key. 3) (2P) Complete going over study guide.
2. 1) Go over Grammar Corrections W/S. 2) Pair work: Ni Hao One Lessons 11 and 12 text passages. 3) Speaking task #2 (Hanna, Rianna, Aaron, Evy).
3. Listening activity: WB page 93 (audio file in ProgressBook Resources Link).

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/14/16)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate compound vowels.  2) I can solve / express math equations in Chinese.
Homework: 1) Review (ua, uo) sections for activity tomorrow.  2) Culture chapter test (2 China reading packets, Mid-Autumn Festival WS, Lesson One questions): Monday, 9/19/16.
Procedure:
1.  1) No sharing papers.  Save quiz #1 for sounding out telephone numbers.   (Malina, Kate, Vicky, Kinga, Treyven, Corey, Tina) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  No credit for questions with poor quality next time.  Audio files for compound vowels 1 and 2 are in ProgressBook Resources link.  Comprehension questions from Lesson 1 will be sent out to you tonight.  2) Quick review (sounding numbers in Chinese, blending, sounding out syllables).  3) Writing practice.  4) Teach (ua, uo) sections.

2. 1) (Jerry, Joe, Reyna, Kate, Elizabeth, Travis, Corey), please complete your Quiz #1 <=> 2) Pair activity: flash cards to solve math equations in Chinese.

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (9/14/16)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can understand requirements for my art project.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese food.
Homework: Review sentences #1-#3.
Procedure:
1.  1) Take one art project handout.  (Zach, Alex, Jacob, Christian) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  2) Return writing assignment and test #2 papers.

2.  1) Teach (jia, you, ge ren).  Write sentence #3.  Read sentences #1-#3.  2) Go over art project handout.  3) Video clips: Chinese breakfast / spicy tofu.

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (9/14/16)

Objectives: I can make a table and graph to justify whether an question is linear or nonlinear equation.
Homework: 1) Worksheet N is due at the end of the class period. 2) Worksheet M is due at the end of class period tomorrow. 3) POW#2.5 is due on next Tuesday, 9/20/16. Turn in earlier for chance to fix mistake and full credit, please.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Turn in MathXL papers + Practice worksheet #1 from Unit 2 for completion grade. 2) Seat work: Complete worksheet N.

** Have a table of at least 4 dots / add an arrow on both end of the lines, please.
