Procedures for 9/20/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (9/20/16)

Objectives: 1) I can self-introduce myself. 2) I can narrate a story with conjunction words.
Homework: 1) Presentation of story narration starts from Thursday. 2) Quiz for slang / idioms articles: Monday, 9/26/16. 3) Complete definitions of Lesson Nine characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Take one copy of conjunction words handout / Lesson Nine text pages / Lesson Nine character worksheet. 2) Speak task #2 (1P: Ian, Abigail, McKenna, Sydney, Natalia, Maddy, Josh; 2P: Luke).
2. Pair work: Draft your narration.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/20/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of knowing geography about China and Mid-Autumn Festival. 2) I solve / express math equations in Chinese. 3) I can blend and discriminate compound vowels.
Homework: Review compound vowels for activity tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. Culture Unit chapter test.
2. If you are done, 1) Pair activity: flash cards to solve math equations in Chinese. 2) Read syllables / Sound out phone numbers. 3) Any other homework.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (9/20/16)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese giant panda. 3) I can name colors in Chinese.
Homework: 1) Review sentences #1-#7. 2) Quiz #2 (colors + sibling terms): Monday, 9/26/16. 3) Oral presentation starts on Tuesday, 9/27/16-9/28/16. Art project is due on Thursday, 9/29/16.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return Quiz #1 papers. Pass out colors flash cards. 2) Teach (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se). 3) Pass out and go over animals handout.

2. 1) Teach (xi huan). 2) Write sentences #7. 3) Culture reading: Chinese giant panda.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (9/20/16)

Objectives: I can identify and tell the difference between function and non-functions.
Homework: 1) MathXL (defining functions) is due on Wednesday, 9/28/16. 2) i-Ready new cycle: 9/19-9/25/16.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. 2) Turn in Team Challenge papers + MathXL POW#2.5 papers. Unit 3 has been posted onto your Google Classroom already.

2.  Team activities / discussion: coding messages.

3.  Go over function definitions / Preview Practice worksheet #1.
