Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (9/27/16)

Objectives: 1) I can read text passages fluently and accurately. 2) I can I narrate an imaginary story with conjunction words.
Homework: 1) Reciting poem and making weather forecast starts from tomorrow. 2) WB pages 95 + 96, if not done in class.
1. 1) Return quiz papers. Possible date for Lessons 9 and 10 assessment: 10/10/16. 2) Story narration (1P: Jenna, Ian / Josh, Aaron / Maddy). 4) (2P) Newspaper time.
2. 1) Pair activity: (1P) Pair reading: Ni Hao Two Lessons 1-2. (2P) Read Ni Hao 2 Lessons 1-2 as a class. / Work on WB pages 95-96. 2) (2P) Quick review (weather forecast). 3) (1P) 1 Video clip comprehension. (2P) 3 video clips.

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/26/16)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminating compound vowels. 2) I can prepare for Lesson Three chapter test. 3) I can pre-assessment my Chinese proficiency.
Homework: 1) Review (un, uan) sections. 2) Compound Vowels #2 Quiz: Monday, 10/2/16?? 3) VC H/W: read / solve math equations.
1. 1) Take one copy of pre-assessment handout, please.
(Treyven, Kate, Nick) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Some will not get retake next time. 2) Go over Lesson Three chapter test study guide. 3) Go over Pinyin Cheat Sheet + Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet. 4) Showcase Chinese publications.

2. 1) Pre-Assessment. 2) Teach (un, uan). 3) Pair activity (sounding out expressions).

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (9/27/16)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can create an art project by applying what I have learned in class. 3) I can utilize a website resource to type up Chinese pinyin / characters.
Homework: 1) Bring in school work + art supplies for tomorrow. 2) Complete oral presentation tomorrow. 3) Art project is due on Thursday.
1. 1) Return Quiz #2 papers. 2) Introduce www.mdbg.net.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral presentation <=> work on your art project, please.

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (9/27/16)

Objectives: I can make a table and graph to justify whether a relation is a function or non-function.
Homework: 1) MathXL (Defining Functions) work is due in class tomorrow. 2) Practice Worksheet #M is due at the end of the class.
1. 1) 3 papers are without name!! Return all papers. Turn in your worksheet #N. 2) Clarify ways to know i-Ready time. 3) Clarify meaning of passing / failing the vertical line test. 4) Clarify signs/symbols for domain and range…{, , , …}

2. 1) Pair work: Writing / Solving Equations #3 and #4. 2) Seat work: Worksheet #M. Turn in your work.
