Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (9/7/16)

Objectives: I can present my summer break activities.
Homework: 1) Presentation of your summer break activities tomorrow (1P: Rianna, Jenna, Michael, Carolyn, Hanna; 2P: Luke, Shaan, Grant, Logan). 2) WB page 86: due tomorrow.
1. 1) (Jenna, Maddy, Josh, Evy + Joanna) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Captains check WB page 81. Go over answer key. Write down your name on the Summer Break Activities Project checklist / rubric. Collect.
2. (1P: Naomi, Joshua, Sydney + Patrick, Grace; 2P: Ben, Caroline, Shannon, Paul, Erica) present your project, please.


Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (9/7/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Greetings unit. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
Homework: Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet is due at the end of the class period tomorrow.
1. 1) Take one copy of Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet. Take one netbook. 2) Go over worksheet. 3) Greetings unit chapter test.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral part <=> Seat work: Mid-Autumn Festival worksheet.


Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (9/7/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Greetings unit. 2) I can say / write simple Chinese number characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese number superstition and Chinese finger guessing game.
Homework: Review 17 learned characters.
1. 1) Quick review. 2) Greetings unit test.
2. 1) Quick review (14 characters). 2) Teach characters (七, 八, 九). 3) Culture reading: Lucky and unlucky numbers. 4) Teach and try finger guessing game.


Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (9/7/16)

Objectives: I can showcase my mastery of Unit 1 materials.
Homework: 1) Unit 2 will be posted through Google Classroom. Math XL homework will be posted by the end of today. It is due on Monday, 9/12/16. 2) Unit 2 quiz: Thursday, 9/15??
1. 1) (Ian, Bobby) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2 formats for the quiz. Highlight key words in the quiz. 2) Unit 1 quiz.

2. 1) Ms. Chang passes out a set of handout. Return papers. / Seat work: 1) Study vocabulary for unit 2. 2) Plot dots on your graph paper. 3) Work on POW #2. 4) Game time.
