Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (10/5/16)

Objectives: 1) I can write a diary entry to record an event. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test.
Homework: 1) WB page 100. 2) Review text page 104. 3) Draft your oral exam dialogue.
Procedure:
1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 99. Go over answer key. Go over calendar for the next 2 weeks. (1P: Sydney, Jenna, Sara) talk to Ms. Chang, please.   2) Go over interpersonal communication assessment details. 3) Teach text page 104. 4) Skit card presentation (1P: Evy / Grace; 2P: Shannon / Grant, Ben / Luke, Shaan).

2. While Ms. Chang checks your singing + text messages <=> work on WB page 100 + draft outline for your oral exam.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/5/16)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate front nasal sounds. 2) I can prepare for compound vowels quiz. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about how characters evolve.
Homework: 1) Review (an, en) sections. 2) Compound vowels #2 quiz: tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one netbook. Thursday and Friday E/I will be dedicated to practice Aspire ACT testing. Ms. Chang already Google Docs shared with you a document with links to video clips (songs, story of characters, culture knowledge).  2) Quick review (blending). 3) Teach (an, en) sections.

2. 1) Video clip (看). 2) While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam (Julianna, Tiffany, Aidan, Jakub, Carson, Nick, Treyven, Corey, Kinga, Karli, Elizabeth, Casey, Kate, ) <=> review compound vowels #2 + watch video clips (songs or story of characters).

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (10/5/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can gain geographic knowledge about China. 3) I can understand what Hanyu pinyin is.
Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms. 2) We will complete online China reading packet in class tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one copy of China reading packet.   (Lauren, Becky) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  2) Go over Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin handout. 3) Quick review (Ni Hao, Lao Shi, Ni Shi).  Teach (wo shi, zai jian).  4) Class activity to review 5 terms.
2.   Pass out / Go over China reading packet.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (9/13/16)

Objectives: 1) I can calculate constant rate of change between two points.  2) I can work on a picture transformation project.
Homework: 1) POW #5 is due on this Friday.  2) Practice worksheet #1 is due in class tomorrow.  3) Complete slope worksheet by the end of class period.  It is homework if you do not finish it in class.
Procedure:
1. 1)  You need to work on i-Ready during Friday E/I time.   Slope worksheet has been posted in Google classroom.   2) Go over Proportional relation notes.  Explain proportional relations definition.

2. 1) Explain terminology of slope and model work to get slope.  Seat work: Slope worksheet. 2) Project time (10 minutes), if you are done with slope worksheet.
