Procedures for 10/6/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (10/6/16)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test. 2) I can use text massages to initiate / respond to invitation. 3) I can sing Chinese songs.
Homework: 1) WB pages 102 + 103 + 104 (audio file in PB Resources Link). 2) Will work on pre-test (writing) tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Correction: no sub on next Thursday. Oral exam rubric is complete now. Will add more prompts over this weekend. Will complete movie unit tomorrow. 6 final grades (singing, chapter test, oral exam, authentic materials quiz, movie responses, reflection) before the end of 1st quarter. Vote for date for chapter test. 2) Ms. Chang checks WB page 100. Go over answer key.
3) Read / Teach / Read text page 112-113.

2. While Ms. Chang checks your text messages / listens to your singing <=> 1) Work on WB pages + draft your oral exam outlines.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/6/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of blending and discriminating compound vowels. 2) I can comprehend Chinese greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Know 7 learned characters by Monday, 10/10/16. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Bring in your textbook tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Check definitions. 2) Teach (好, 明,天,見). 3) Quiz #3.

2. While Ms. Chang conducts flash cards (Jakub, Tiffany, Carson, Kinga, Julianna and Aidan) and sounding out part <=> 1) Complete your character writing + 2) Review syllables + 3) Work on enrichment puzzles.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (10/6/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can gain geographic knowledge about China.
Homework: 1) Review 9 learned greeting terms. 2) Complete China reading packet if not done in class.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? Quick review. 2) Teach (zao, ni zao, zao an, zao shang hao).
2. 1) Go over China reading packet. 2) Video clip: Introduction to China. 3) Pair / Independent work: Log in PB, click activity and enter your answers to the questions. Submit.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (10/6/16)

Objectives: 1) I can calculate slope for a linear equation accurately. 2) I can determine whether a graph is a linear or proportional relationship.
Homework: 1) POW #5 is due tomorrow. 2) POW#6 is due on next Friday, 10/14/16.  3) Turn in Practice worksheet #1 by the class period tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all homework papers + State Standards quiz. Clarification: assessment / project / Unit #4 / quiz, etc. 2) Ms. Chang checks your Slope page #1. Go over answer key. 3) Independent / Draw conclusion.

2. 1) Go over Proportional Relation Notes. 2) Seat work: work on practice worksheet #1.
