Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (10/10/16)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test. 2) I can sing children songs.
Homework: 1) Movie unit comprehension questions are due on the night of Wednesday, 10/12/16. 2) Authentic materials quiz: Thursday, 10/13/16. 3) Turn in your Lesson Nine character worksheet tomorrow.
1. 1) We will complete movie on this Wednesday. (1P: Joanna, Carolyn 2P: Shaan, Luke) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Complete all retakes by the end of this week, please. Ms. Chang just Google Docs shared with you the revised comprehension questions 2) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 105. Go over answer key. 3) (1P) Read text pages 114.  4) Browse through authentic newspaper.

2. Song time <=> Study time / Draft your writing practice problems / Complete Chinese character writing assignment.


Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/10/16)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate front nasal sounds. 2) I can say and comprehend greeting terms.
Homework: Know all 12 characters by Wednesday.
1. 1) Take one copy of back nasal sounds handout. Return all papers. 2) (Carson, Treyven, Joe, Nick, Kinga, Frank, Carson + Marina) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Treat time. Complete all retakes by this Thursday. Let Ms. Chang know of your intention, please. Sub teacher will cover Ms. Chang on this Thursday afternoon. 3) Quick review (blending, writing sentences). 4) Teach (白, 大,伟,李,兰).

2. Ms. Chang completes oral part for the following students: Treyven, Joe, Kinga, Carson.


Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (10/10/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about publications, chopsticks etiquette and major cities in China.
Homework: 1) Test #1: Monday, 10/17/16. 2) Review 15 learned terms.
1. 1) Take one copy of 20 characters handout. (Sam, Ben, Joey) talk to Ms. Chang, please.  Sub teacher will cover Ms. Chang on Thursday afternoon.  2) Quick review (greeting terms). 3) Class activity (xie xie, bu xie, bu ke qi). 4) Teach (wu an, wan an, shang ke, xia ke).
2. 1) Video clips: Tianjin + Chongqing. 2) Culture reading: Chopsticks etiquette. 3) Showcase publications.
3. Pass out and go over 20 characters handout.


Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (10/10/16)

Objectives: 1) I can determine whether a graph is a linear or proportional relationship. 2) I can compare two graphs and decide which graph is steeper with slope. 3) I can play game to view order of operators.
Homework: 1) Turn in your practice worksheet #2 by the end of class period. If not completed, finish it as homework tonight. 2) MathXL is due on Wednesday, 10/12/16. 3) POW #6 is due on this Thursday, 10/13/16.
1. 1) Return all papers. (Shawn, Ian, Connor, Jimmy, Mary, Anthony, Jesse) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Clarify a few common mistakes. You will have a sub teacher on Thursday afternoon. Please claim papers without name. 2) Go over Worksheet #1. 3) Kahoot game. 4) Go over important concept in constant rate of change notes (negative vs. positive slope).
2. 1) Seat work: Complete practice worksheet #2. 2) If you are done with worksheet #2, finish watching videos in Unit #4 / Picture Transformation project.
