Procedures for 10/17/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (10/17/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my ability to sustain conversation with strategies. 2) I can read text passages fluently and accurately.
Homework: 1) Review Ni Hao Two Lessons 1-4 text passages. 2) Authentic Materials quiz: tomorrow. 3) Bring in your IC textbook tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. No Cell phone out, please.  2) Bring in your ear buds for quiz tomorrow.  3) Write down room number you need to report to for PSAT/Aspire ACT test on Wednesday, please.   4) Go over oral exam rubric again.   5) While random students are taking their oral exam, please
a) work with a partner on reading Ni Hao Two Lessons 1-4,
b) practice with a partner on mock oral exam.
6) Check PB for accuracy.

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/17/16)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate back nasal sounds. 2) I can comprehend and interpret Chinese greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Know all learned characters by Wednesday, 10/19/16. 2) Complete typing + VC H/W (Lesson 2 comprehension questions) by the end of today. 3) Quiz #4 (front + back nasal sounds): Monday, 10/24/16. 4) Lesson Two chapter test: Wednesday, 10/26/16.
5) Review (ing, eng) sections.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one netbook. One paper without name to claim??? Ms. Chang passes out a set of Ni Hao One text passages. (Frank, Tiffany, Nick, Reyna) talks to Ms. Chang, please. Collect your typing template. Check PB for accuracy, please.
1. 2) Quick review (characters).
1. 3) Read /go over text passages on pages 7-9.
1. 4) Teach (同, 学, 老, 师, 林).

2. 1) Teach (eng) sections. 2) Seat work: typing + VC H/W.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (10/17/16)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my test. 2) I can write simple Chinese picture characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese embroidery and silk.
Homework: 1) Test #1 (greetings terms): tomorrow. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. Will collect your work on Thursday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return exit slip papers. (Angelina, Anastasiya, Sonia, Melissa, Joey, Lauren) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Pass out answer bank for pre-test. Quick review / pretest. Collect answer bank slips. 3) Teach (口, 水).
2. 1) Video clips (animation + silk + embroidery). 2) Showcase artifacts.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (10/17/16)

Objectives: 1) I can interpret data.  2) I can work with a team to solve real-life problems.
Homework: 1) Turn in your worksheet #3 by the end of class. 2) Team challenge paper is due at the end of class period. 3) Unit #4 quiz: Monday, 10/24/16. 4) Worksheet #N is due tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Clarify W/S #3 problem #2 (TJ) + steeper concept. (Jake, Sofia, Connor, Jimmy, Jesse, ) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Check PB for grade accuracy, please.

2. 1) Team challenge (Google Classroom). 2) If done, work on W/S #3 or others.
