Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (10/18/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my ability to interpret authentic materials. 2) I can read text passages fluently and accurately.
Homework: IC Lesson One character definitions.
Procedure:
1. 1) Report to your assigned room tomorrow. Pass out IC Lesson One character worksheet. (1P: Josh, Sara, Abigail; 2P: Ben, Grant, Shannon) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Go over structure of IC textbook.
2. 1) Take one netbook and log in. Quiz. 2) (2P) Pair work: Read Ni Hao Two Lessons 1-4.

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/18/16)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate back nasal sounds. 2) I can read text passages fluently and accurately.
Homework: 1) VC activity (listening comprehension + Audio file is in Resources link). 2) Review (ing, ong) sections. 3) Quizlet online activity.
Procedure:
1. 1) (Nick, Karli, Treyven, Aidan, Julianna) talk to Ms. Chang, please. All Quizlet links to Ni Hao One vocabulary are in PB Resources link now. Collect your typing template, please.  2) Quick review (blending, sounding out). 3) Teach (ing, ong) sections.
2. 1) Class / pair activity: Read Lesson Two text passages. 2) Seat work: Quizlet game / VC activity.

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (10/18/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of knowing Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about the Great Wall of China and fast food chains in China. 3) I can write simple Chinese characters.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. Will collect tomorrow. 2) Review 6 learned characters. 3) Test #2: Monday, 10/31/16.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review. 2) Test #1.
2. 1) Quick (4 characters). 2) Teach (火, 人). 3) Video clips: (Great Wall of China + Breakfast in China). 4) Culture reading: fast food in China.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (10/18/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of analyzing and comparing proportional data and finding slopes. 2) I can apply constant rate of change to real-life situations.
Homework: 1) Practice worksheet N is due by the end of the class period today??. 2) Practice worksheet M is due by the end of class tomorrows.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers.  2) State standards quiz.  3) Seat work: Complete practice worksheet N.

2. If done, start thinking about W/S M.
