Procedures for 10/25/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (10/25/16)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about sickness in a sustained conversation. 2) I I can create and present an imaginative dialogue. 3) I can read text passages fluently and accurately.
Homework: 1) Narration of a story will be due by the end of tomorrow. Welcome  to Google Docs share with Ms. Chang. 2) Be able to describe 张天明 in Chinese!
1. 1) Take one netbook.  New partner, please. 2) Check sentence patterns (一边…一边,有的..,有的…,有的…,不但…而且). No more (因为…所以). 3) oral exam modeling and critique.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <=> Pair activity: 1) create a story with conjunction and transition words. 2) Complete Ni Hao Two Lessons 1-4 text passages.


Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/25/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of blending and discriminating front / back nasal sounds. 2) I can greet and self-introduce myself. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about bowing ritual.
Homework: 1) Read Lesson Two text passages. 2) Study!!
1. 1) Take one exit slip. (Kevin, Vicki, Tina, Treyven, Aidan) take a set of handouts from yesterday. bmpf audio file has been posted to PB Resources link for your reference. Pass out culture reading article. Go over Lesson Two chapter test study guide. Make sure you stay/come to complete your sounding out loud portion during your lunch hour today. 2) Quiz #4.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts sounding out part <=> 1) Complete exit slip. 2) Practice mini dialogue of greeting + self-introduction.
3. Go over answer key to exit slip. Return / collect culture reading article.


Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (10/25/16)

Objectives: 1) I can write simple Chinese number characters. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about lucky and unlucky numbers. 3) I can explore origami and finger guessing name.
Homework: 1) Review 17 learned characters. 2) Chinese character writing assignment.
1. 1) Quick review. 2) Teach (七, 八, 九). 3) Complete origami. Check for participation grade. 4) Complete finger guessing game.

2. Culture reading: lucky and unlucky numbers.


Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (10/25/16)

Objectives: 1) I can graph an equation from slope-intercept form.   2) I can write an Equation from a graph.
Homework: 1) Unit #5: Practice worksheet #1 is due in class tomorrow. 2) POW#7 is due on Friday, 10/28/16. 3) i-Ready is due on 10/30/16.
1. 1) Return all test + homework papers. Who gets to retake (lower than 80% => lower than 10.4 out of 13)?   Return retake contract form by the end of Thursday to quality for retake.  Complete retake by the end of Friday.

1. 2) Log in Google classroom. Go over notes for today.

2. 1) Watch the video for “Graphing an equation from slope-intercept form” . Model / Practice 2 problems (#1 & #2 from practice #1). 2) Watch the video “Writing an Equation from a Graph” video. Model / Practice 2 problems (#7 and #8 from practice #1)

3. Seat work: work on worksheet #1.
