Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (10/31/16)

Objectives: 1) (1P) I can present a story that I created with a partner. 2) (1P) I can sustain an one-minute conversation dialogue. 3) I can talk about my school life.
Homework: 1) Be able to ask and answer all oral questions by Wednesday, 11/2/16. 2) Review text for tomorrow’s writing / listening practice.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one netbook. Read / teach text on pages 3 + 5. 2) Story narration presentation (Michael + Ian, Josh). 3) Pair activity: Ni Hao Two Lesson Four.

2. (1P) While Ms. Chang conducts the oral exam (Grace, Abigail, McKenna, Michael, Sydney, Maddy, Hanna, Jenna, Josh, Ian, Sara) <=> 1) Review IC text passages. 2) Practice speaking questions.

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/31/16)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate consonants. 2) I can ask and answer questions about identity and age. 3) I can greet and introduce myself.
Homework: 1) Quiz #5 (bpmf / dtnl): Wednesday, 11/2/16. 2) Review (n / l) sections. 3) Chinese character writing assignment.
Procedure:
1. 1) Captains check L4 definitions. 2) Quick review (d & t) sections. 3) Teach (n / l) sections. 4) Teach (谁, 岁, 几).
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <=> 1) Practice your oral exam part. 2) Review consonants. 3) Practice asking questions about your identity and age.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (10/31/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of recognizing 20 Chinese picture and number characters. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can understand the requirements for art project.
Homework: 1) Quiz #1: Wednesday, 11/2/16. 2) Oral presentation: , 11/9/16. Art project: 11/10/16.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one copy of art project handout. 2) Quick review. 3) Test #2.
2. 1) Teach (jia, you, ge ren). 2) Write sentence #3. 3) Read sentences 1-#3. 4) Go over art project handout.  5) Showcase sample art projects (PPT, videos).

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (10/31/16)

Objectives: I can solve slope-intercept equation problems
Homework: 1) MathXL work is due in class on Wednesday, 11/2/16. 2) POW #8: Friday, 11/5/16. 3) i-Ready is due on Sunday, 11/6/16. 4) Picture transformation project is due on Friday, 11/4/16. 5) Practice #3 worksheet is due tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. 2) Clarify some challenging problems (POW#7). 2) Class activity: go over challenging questions.
