Procedures for 10/3/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (10/3/16)

Objectives: 1) I can initiate and respond to a text message of invitation. 2) I can present a conversation dialogue. 3) I can recite a poem.
Homework: 1) Review pages 103 & 105-106. 2) WB page 98.
Procedure:
1. 1) The PSAT is a very important test that determines our high school’s National Merit Finalists, Semi-finalists, and Commended Students (which many individuals regard as a measure of our school’s effectiveness) and provides students an opportunity to earn scholarships based on their PSAT scores. Make sure you fully utilize this study guide and online portal. 2) Anyone is interested in applying for NSLI-Y Scholarships to Study Abroad (due date is 10/29/16)? Please check their website, , for details. 3) Study guide for Lessons 9 and 10 will be e-mailed to you late this afternoon.

2. 1) Teach text page 103 and 105-106. 2) Present your conversation dialogue. 3) (Jenna) talks to Ms. Chang, please.

3. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam (poem) <=> complete your text messages + work on WB homework assignment.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (10/3/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of solving math equations. 2) I can enjoy learning Chinese through viewing video clips.
Homework: 1) Compound Vowels #2 quiz: Wednesday, 10/5/16. 2) Lesson Two character definitions is due tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Two character worksheet. Turn in your Lesson Three character worksheet. 2) Make sure you have a calculator.  3) (Tiffany Mei, Elizabeth, Frank) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 4) Quick review.  Absolutely no talking during test session.
2. 1) Lesson Three chapter test. 2) While Ms. Chang conducts oral part <=> Work on Lesson Two character definitions / watch videos.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (10/3/16)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s classroom rules and routine. 2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Signature slip due on Thursday, 10/616. 2) Will complete Student Inventory in class tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Sit on your assigned seat. 2) Go over your team assignment. 3) Go over Ms. Chang’s classroom (handouts/homework/supplies) / opening routine + daily blog.
2. Teach Chinese greeting terms (Ni Hao, Lao Shi).

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (10/3/16)

Objectives: I can review math operators and concepts through a puzzle game.
Homework: 1) POW #5 is due on this Friday. 2) State standards quiz: tomorrow. 3) The points and due date for picture transformation project are not finalized yet. 4) Find an image before Wednesday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Treat time!! Sign up and turn in names of your new team. (Jimmy, Connor) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Log in Google Classroom and review Unit 4 (Constant Rate of Change) and Picture Transformation project.

2. Pair work / Seat work: Order of Operator Puzzle activity. Turn in as participation grade.
