Procedures for 11/1/16

Procedures for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV class (11/1/16)

Objectives: 1) I can comprehend an audio file accurately.  2) I can write sentences to describe various situations.  3) I can sing / learn Chinese songs.  4) I can read text passages fluently.

Homework: 1) Practice speaking tasks.  2) Review text pages 3 and 5.

Procedure:

  1.  1) Take one netbook.  2) Log in PB Resources link to download an audio file.  Go to activity for a virtual classroom activity for a listening comprehension activity.  3) Writing practice.  4) Class activity: Read Ni Hao Two Lesson Four text.
  2. Song time.

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (11/1/16)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my quiz. 2) I can ask and answer questions about identity and age. 3) I can greet and introduce myself. 4) I can create a skit with a partner.
Homework: 1) Quiz #5 (bpmf / dtnl): Thursday, 11/3/16. 2) Wear something old tomorrow. 3) Skit is due on Wednesday, 11/9/16.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one Lessons 2, 3, and 4 skit handout. Return all test papers and writing assignment. Take one netbook. (Karli) talks to Ms. Chang, please. If you scored lower than 42.4 (80%), please talk to Ms. Chang for retake. 2) Go over skit handout. 3) Pretest.

2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <=> 1) Practice your oral exam part. 2) Review for quiz on Thursday. 3) Practice asking questions about your identity and age. 4) Draft your skit with a partner.

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (11/1/16)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project through viewing sample projects. 3) I can gain culture knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals. 4) I can prepare for my quiz tomorrow.
Homework: 1) Quiz #1: tomorrow. 2) Brainstorm ideas for your art project. 3) Quiz #2 (family members + colors): Tuesday, 11/8/16.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return test and Chinese writing assignment papers. (Angelina) talks to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Count from zero to one hundred. 3) Teach (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, liang, he). 4) Write sentence #4. 5) Read sentences 1-#4.

2.  Showcase sample projects (videos, drawings, crafts).

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (11/1/16)

Objectives: I can solve slope-intercept equation problems
Homework: 1) MathXL work is due in class tomorrow. 2) POW #8: Friday, 11/5/16. 3) i-Ready is due on Sunday, 11/6/16. 4) Picture transformation project is due on Friday, 11/4/16. 5) Practice #3 worksheet is due today.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Turn in your practice worksheet #3. Get prize by participating in solving problem on the math board….2) Class activity: go over challenging questions.

2. 1) Seat work: various homework.  2) Log in Google Classroom for state standards quizzes. Review your mistakes. Pass out notes with your mistake problem numbers. Check out with your captains to understand your mistakes.
