Procedures for 11/4/16

Procedure for S 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (11/4/16)

Objectives: 1) I can create a dialogue independently or with a partner. 2) I can showcase my mastery of  knowing Chinese slang and idiom. 3) (1P) I can gain knowledge about Chinese society and education system through viewing a movie.
Homework: 1) Skit dialogue is due by the end of today.   Presentation starts from Monday. 2) One fill-in-the-blank VC activity is due in class on next Monday.
1. 1) Blood drive: Friday, 11/11/16. Scheduling forms can be picked up and returned to Mrs. Ferrante (room 241) and Mrs. Milanich (room 150). Take one netbook. Need time for skit? Pass out movie unit handout. 2) Quiz. 3) Work on skit card dialogue.   4) Teach (方便,安全,内外).
2. 1) Skim over movie story map. 2) (1P) Movie time.


Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (11/4/16)

Objectives: 1) I can create a skit dialogue independently or with a partner. 2) I can ask and answer conversation questions. 3) I can blend and discriminate consonants.
Homework: 1) Review (g / k / h) sections. 2) Practice conversation questions. 3) Skit is due in class on Wednesday. 4) Know characters for writing practice next Monday. 5) Quiz #6: Thursday, 11/10.
1. 1) Take a set of conversation questions handout and a netbook. Return quiz papers. Retake will take place during Tuesday E/I. Sign up in advance, please. (Nick, Karli, Casey) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Teach (g / k / h) sections. 3) Go over conversation question handout.

2. Pair activity: 1) Practice conversation Q/A. 2) Practice sounding out loud syllables. 3) Draft your skit.


Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (11/4/16)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about legend of giant panda and Chinese yo-yo. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can name colors in Chinese.  4) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project through viewing art projects.
Homework: 1) Review 11 learned color terms. 2) Finalize your theme and medium for art project. 3) Quiz #2: Tuesday, 11/8/16.
1. 1) Take one copy of animals handout. 2) Quick review (8 colors). 3) Teach (cheng se, hui se, fen hong se). 4) Teach (xi huan). 5) Go over animals handout. 6) Write sentence #7

2. 1) Showcase more art projects samples (PPTs, origami). 2) Culture reading: The Legend of Giant Panda. 3) Video clip: Chinese yo-yo.  Showcase Chinese yoyo.

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (11/4/16)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my unit assessment. 2) I can complete a picture transformation project.
Homework: 1) POW #9: Friday, 11/12/16. 2) i-Ready is due on Sunday, 11/6/16. 3) Unit #5 quiz: Monday, 11/7/16?
1. 1) Return all papers. Turn in your worksheet #M + picture transformation project. POW#9 and Unit 6 have been posted in Google Classroom. Every Friday, there will be math problems posted outside of Mr. Auble’s classroom at 8th grade wing. Submit your answer to grade 8 problems for possible gift card….

2. 1) Seat work: work on study guide / check against answer key / complete your project. 2) If you are done, log in Google Classroom for previous two state standards quizzes. Review your mistakes.
