Procedures for 11/30/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (11/29/16)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about furniture in my room. 2) I can read text passages fluently. 3) I can present an imaginary story. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese education system.
功课: 1) Paragraph describing your room is due tonight (a picture, 5 furniture pieces as well as Ivy and Wilde homeware, 5 different direction terms). 2) Exit slips are due tonight. Will go over answer tomorrow. 3) Song singing: Monday, 12/5/16. 4) Know newly learned characters by Friday, 12/1/16. 5) Reading text passages closes on Friday, 12/2.
Procedure:
1. 1) (Grace, Evy, Abigail, Sydney, Ian, Rianna, Paul) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Review. 3) Read / Teach (椅子, 空, 空调, 栋, 卫生间, 恐怕,日用品, 文具, 差不多).
2. While Ms. Chang conducts reading text passages <=> 1) draft your room description. 2) Complete culture reading w/exit slips.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (11/30/16)

Objectives: 1) I can sight read multi-syllable phrase fluently and accurately. 2) I can ask and answer questions to identify school supplies.
Homework: 1) Review #13-#18 learned multi-syllable terms. 2) Know newly learned characters by Friday, 12/2/16. 3) Midterm: 1/5/17 (writing, listening) and 1/6/17 (MC: reading + culture).
Procedure:
1. 1) (Treyven, Kinga) report to Ms. Chang during E/I today, please. 2) Review / Teach multi-syllable handout. 3) Teach (这, 那, 什么, 的).
2. Pair work: Take a bag and conversation question practice.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (11/30/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese classroom expressions. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese schools and Chinese publications.
Homework: Review 26 terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. (Trisha, JJ, Marissa, Michael) talk to Ms. Chang, please. (Ranbir, Katherine, Trent, Sam, Christian, Lakshmy, Grace, ) to redo your paper cutting pattern, please. 2) Quick review (24 learned terms + 8 characters). 3) Teach (dui bu qi, mei guan xi) 4) Teach (一, 二, 三).
2. 1) Video clip: Chinese school. 2) Showcase artifacts (Chinese publications).

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (11/30/16)

Objectives: I can showcase my mastery of state standards. 2) I can sort numbers and arrange them in a number line.
Homework: 1) MathXL (Explaining the Pythagorean Theorem, 12 questions) is due on Monday, 12/6/16. 2) i-Ready cycle: 11/28-12/4. 3) Unit #7 quiz: Friday, 12/2/16.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. (Tommy) talks to Ms. Chang, please. 2) i-Ready diagnostic assessment (30 minutes).
2. Seat work: 1) i-Ready. 2) MathXL. 3) Review activity (Numbers on Number Line) in Google Classroom.
