Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (11/22/16)

Objectives: 1) I can say a tongue twister with accurate tone. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese social issue and education system through viewing a movie.
Homework: 1) Google Docs share with Ms. Chang your story narration by the end of tonight. 2) Draft your answers in your movie comprehension questions. 3) Draft your contents for your culture research project.
1. 1) Take a netbook. Have a copy of Culture Research project rubric / checklist. (2P: Luke, Shannon) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Go over calendar for upcoming assessments. 2) While Ms. Chang conducts tongue twister <=> work on your story narration.
2. Movie time.


Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (11/22/16)

Objectives: 1) I can use chopsticks to pick up Cheerios. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese table etiquette and folk art of cutting papers. 3) I can explore cutting paper patterns.
Homework: Review 17 learned greeting terms.
1. 1) Culture reading (Table Etiquette) + exit slip.
2. 1) Video clip: Paper Cuts. 2) Explore paper cutting patterns: longevity + double happiness. 3) Chopsticks time.


Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (11/22/16)

Objectives: I can calculate square roots of numbers.
Homework: 1) i-Ready is due on Sunday, 11/27/16. 2) MathXL and Unit #7 Practice W/S #2 are due today.
1. 1) Return all papers. 2) Clarify a few questions (Rational <=> irrational numbers, whole number, etc.). Google Classroom Unit #7: Rational Numbers vs. Irrational Numbers Note. 3) Go over W/S #2 homework problems.
2. Seat work: i-Ready + MathXL + Unit #7 Practice worksheet #2.
