Procedures for 11/3/16

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (11/3/16)

Objectives: 1) I can create a skit dialogue independently or with a partner.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) I can ask and answer conversation questions.  4)

Homework: Slang / Idiom quiz: tomorrow.

Procedure:
1.  1) Independent / pair work: work with a partner to create a skit dialogue (one new student interacts with a current student).  The content will include: what your Chinese name is (introduce your name in an authentic way; use what you wrote from yesterday as a reference; I already made comments if you Google Docs shared with me yesterday), where you were born and grew up, your class schedule, where you live, extra-curricular activities, etc. (no Chinese I and II contents).  A minimum of 8 sentences for independent work, 12 sentences for a pair work, 18 sentences for a group of 3.  Students need to include at least two transition words / conjunction words.

2) pair work: review Ni Hao Two Lessons Five text passages.
3)  Study for their quiz on Friday.

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (11/3/16)
Objectives: 1) I can greet / welcome people. 2) I can showcase my mastery of bpmf / dtnl consonants. 3) I can create a skit independently or with a partner.
Homework: Chinese character writing assignment.   Know these character by next Monday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one netbook.  Log in and set aside. Claim your art work. Take one copy of gkh jqx handout. 2) Quiz #5.  3) Teach (马, 克, 啊, 谢).
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral portion, you can 1) practice your syllable reading, and 2) work on your skit.

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (11/3/16)

Objectives: 1) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project through viewing project samples. 2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can name colors in Chinese.
Homework: Review learned color terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Pass back quiz papers and your oral presentation draft. (Kevin, Renee, Melissa, Becky, Evelyn) complete your quiz, please. 2) Quick review (4 colors). 3) Teach (lan se, lv se, zong se, zi se). 4) Teach (shang, nian ji). 5) Write / read sentence #6. Read sentences #1-#6.

2. 1) Showcase art project samples. 2) Video clip: Chinese zodiac animals.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (11/3/16)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my proficiency with a state standards quiz. 2) I can graph based on slope-intercept equations.
Homework: 1) POW #8: tomorrow. 2) i-Ready is due on Sunday, 11/6/16. 3) Picture transformation project is due tomorrow. 4) Practice worksheet #M is due in class tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Turn in your worksheet #N. 2) i-Ready state standards quiz.

1. 3) Seat work: work on all work. 4) If you are done, log in Google Classroom for state standards quizzes. Review your mistakes.
