Procedures for 1/12/17

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (1/12/17)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions about family. 2) I can read a sentence fluently and accurately with intonation. 3) I can know about details of a community service.
Homework: 1) Review Sounds2 assessment: Wednesday, 1/18/17. 2) Turn in (e-mail Ms. Chang) a family picture by Thursday, 1/12/17 (FA: 10 points).
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one netbook. Draw a stick for your 3rd quarter seat (Treyven). 2) Go over your midterm grade w/details. 3) Showcase pictures of community service. 4) Quick review (Reviews Sounds2 sentences #1-#20). 5) Complete Review Sounds2 handout (#21-#22).

2. 1) Go over conversation questions. 2) Practice conversation questions.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Class (1/12/17)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese leisure activities. 2) I can understand what Chinese I class will be learning / doing next year.
Homework: N/A
Procedure:
1. 1) (Tyshaun, J.J., Dominic) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Clean up your Chinese folder for reusable handouts, flashcards, etc.). 3) Showcase art project from yesterday (Ayden, Grace, Brooke, Brianna, Evelyn, Isabel, Sam).
2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese leisure activities. 2) Showcase various games (chess, go, mah jong) and video games with boosts from http://www.p4rgaming.com/elo-boosting-10-reasons-hire-professional/. 3) Video clip: Chinese program in America schools. 4) Picture time: Chinese class activities (field trip, Chinese painting, Chinese mid-autumn festival celebration).
3. 1) Review time. 2) Game time + treat time.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (1/12/17)

Objectives: 1) I can understand that a two-dimensional figure is congruent to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, and translations. 2) I can verify experimentally the properties of rotations, reflections,and translations.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 1/9/17-1/15/17. 2) MathXL #11 (rigid transformations and congruence) is due on 1/24/17. 3) POW#13 is due today. 4) Unit #11 Translation worksheet is due on Tuesday, 1/17/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return H/W papers. Unit #11 has been posted to Google Classroom. Turn in POW#13 (Alyssa, Jacob, Bobby, Kaitlyn, Lily, Jimmy, Tommy, Jake, Ian, Connor, Mary, Kate, Sofia, Vanja). 2) Model time (Tyler). 3) Treat time (Connor, Ian / Grant, Tyler, T.J., Renee). 4) Show time (Connor).
2. Start Unit #11 w/ modeling. 2) Seat work: worksheet + i-Ready.
