Procedures for 1/20/17

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (1/20/17)

Objectives: 1) I can get cultural knowledge about China through viewing a movie. 2) I can learn Chinese cooking through singing a song. 3) I can create a skit with a partner.
功课: 1) Poem / Tongue Twister: Wednesday, 1/25/17. 2) Skit #3 is due tonight. Presentation starts from Tuesday. 3) Review pages 73 + 75.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. Juniors, you do not have 1P class next Monday due to scheduling. Joanna + Carolyn still report to 1P, please. Get a copy of song lyrics and movie story map. 2) Song time. 3) Go over story map. 4) Movie time.
2. Seat work (skit #3).

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (1/20/17)

Objectives: 1) I can gain ideas about study abroad program through a presentation. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test.
Homework: 1) VC activities are due by the end of class period on Monday, 1/23/17. 2) Slides for family members are due today.
Procedure:
1. 1) Presentation by Mark Yaseen. 2) Q/A.
2. 1) Go over worksheet.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Class (1/20/17)

Objectives: 1) I can gain geographic knowledge about China and the significance of major cities in China. 2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Signature slip is due today. 2) China reading packet is due by the end of class period today.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? 2) Quick review. 3) Complete the Introduction to Pinyin. 4) Teach (Wu An, Wan An, Shang Ke, Xia Ke).
2. 1) Go over China reading packet. 2) Seat work: China Reading packet. Collect.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (1/20/17)

Objectives: I can apply translations and reflections with a partner to solve problems.

Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 1/16/17-1/21/17. 2) MathXL #11 (rigid transformations and congruence) is due on 1/24/17. 3) POW#14 is due on 1/27/17. 4) Present starts on Monday, 1/23/17. 5) Rigid transformation practice #2: due at the beginning of class on Tuesday, 1/24/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Turn in your worksheet #1. Consider to present your project for extra 4 points (dividing work evenly).  Inform Ms. Chang, please.   2) Quick check (translation + reflections).  Team challenge questions were posted to Google Classroom already. 3) Watch 1 video clip (rotation #1: 10:18 / rotation #2: 11: 45).   4) Pair challenge w/treat: Quick check on translation + reflection.
2. 1) Seat work: MathXL + POW #14 + worksheet.
