Procedures for 1/26/17

Procedure for HS 2P Chinese IV Class (1/26/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say a tongue twister fluently. 3) I can prepare for my chapter test. 3) I can narrate a story with a partner.
功课: 1) Complete tongue twister/skit today. 2) Lesson Three vocabulary quiz: Friday, 2/3/17. Oral exam: Wednesday, 2/1/17 and Thursday, 2/2/17. Lesson Three chapter test: Monday, 2/6/17. 3) Story narration is due by the end of Monday, 1/30/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. Log in and check out 3rd Quarter Tasks Three Study Guide Google Docs. Turn in names of your group members (cooking team cooking, cleaning, setting up/putting away by the end of the class period. 2) Read / Teach pages 75 / 77.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts tongue twister task <=> 1) Practice conversation questions practice. 2) Story narration.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (1/26/17)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test.
Homework: 1) Complete oral exam today. 2) Speed character recognition quiz: Friday, 2/3/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. (Carson, Nick, Casey) do not need to take oral exam. (Emma, Elizabeth, Kate, Kevin, Michael, Juliana) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Picture time from last year.

1. 2) Get a group of 5 students and divide your work into (2 cooking, 2 cleaning, setting up / putting things away). Turn in your list to Ms. Chang. Go over tomorrow’s procedure.
1. 3) Sign up for next Saturday’s Library Event, please. (chopsticks practice, face painting, cutting papers, tangram, teaching / writing Chinese characters, tea sampling, traditional Chinese clothes, crafts, origami, reading stories, etc.)

2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <=> Seat work: 1) Conversation questions. 2) Review speed recognition list. 3) Practice writing problems on board.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Class (1/26/17)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals and how characters have evolved over the years. 2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 3) I can write simple Chinese characters.
Homework: Review 25 learned terms + 8 learned characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) (Jessica, Haylee) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review. 3) Teach (dui bu qi, mei guan xi). Collect.

2. 1) Video clips: Zodiac animals / character animation. 2) Teach characters (日, 月). 3) Culture reading: Chinese zodiac animals.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (1/26/17)

Objectives: I can showcase my mastery of regid transformation.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 1/23/17-1/29/17. 2) POW#14 is due tomorrow. 3) MathXL #12 is due on Tuesday, 1/31/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Please turn in POW #14 (Jacob, Bobby, Lily, Tommy, Mary, Leo, Kate, Ian, Connor, Sofia) by tomorrow. 2) Unit #11 quiz.

2. Seat work: MathXL #12 + POW #14 + i-Ready.
