Procedures for 2/1/17

Procedure for HS 2P Chinese IV Class (2/1/17)

Objectives: 1) I can create a skit with 2 partners. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can prepare for chapter test.
功课: 1) Lesson Three oral exam starts from tomorrow. 2) Vocabulary quiz: Friday, 2/3/17. 3) Slang (俚语 lí yǔ ) / Idiom (成语chéng yǔ) quiz: Friday, 2/10/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. Log in your e-mail account. Open 3rd quarter tasks Doc., Lesson Three Study Doc., and Skit Doc. (1P: Grace, Evy, Abigail, Josh, Aaron, Ian, Rianna, Hanna, Jenna; 2P: Shaan, Erica, Shannon, Ben) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Please consider to sign up for the community service project at Brecksville library this Saturday. 2) Vocabulary quiz practice. 3) Oral practice + Q/A. 4) Writing practice.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts tongue twister / poem tasks <=> Pair work: 1) oral exam practice + 2) skit brainstorm session.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (2/1/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my pets. 2) I can sight read characters accurately and fluently. 3) I can create a skit with a partner.
Homework: 1) Review characters for quiz. 2) Know 4 characters by Friday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get one netbook. Take one copy of Lessons 5-7 skit handout. (Kinga, Kate, Travis, Malina, Julianna, Aidan, Karli, Corey, Joe) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Turned in your Lesson Six character worksheet. Captains check completion of Lesson Seven definitions, please. Check PB for your Lesson Six chapter test grade. Sign up Saturday Library event, if interested. 2) Review list of characters for speed recognition. 3) Go over skit handout. 4) Teach (猫, 狗, 鸟, 只).
2. Pair activity: 1) Review characters. 2) Skit brainstorm session.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Class (2/1/17)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about the Great Wall of China. 2) I can say and write Chinese numbers. 3) I can explore origami.
Homework: Review learned 16 characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return quiz papers. 2) Quick review (12 characters).
2. 1) Teach (五, 六, 七, 八). 2) Video clip: The Great Wall of China. 3) Origami time.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (2/1/17)

Objectives: 1) I can solve problems with a partner. 2) I can apply dilation to solve problems with similar images.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 1/30/17-2/3/17. 2) Unit #12 Practice worksheet #2 is due tomorrow and pair challenge problems is due today. 3) POW#15 is due this Friday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. 2) Make sure you watch all 3 videos (Dilation and similarity video: 5:23; Proving Similarity through transformations video: 6:50; How to Determine Scale Factor Video: 8:18).

2. Seat work: POW #15 + i-Ready. + unit #12 practice worksheet #2 + pair challenge problems.
