Procedures for 2/6/17

Procedure for HS 1P/ 2P Chinese IV Class (2/6/17)

Objectives: I can showcase my mastery of dining out unit.
功课: 1) Skit script is due on Wednesday, 2/8/17. 2) Lesson Four character definitions is due tomorrow. 3) 2 video comprehension questions homework assignments are due today.
1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Four character worksheet. Turn in your Lesson Three character worksheet. (1P: Josh, Grace, Abigail, Patrick; 2P: Shannon, Logan) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Lesson Three chapter test.
2. If you are done with test, you can work on definitions or skit, please.


Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (2/6/17)

Objectives: 1) I can create a skit with a partner. 2) I can talk about pets. 3) I can sight read characters fluently and accurately.
Homework: 1) Speed character recognition quiz: Wednesday-Friday, 2/8/17-2/10/17. 2) Know 15 characters by Wednesday, 2/8/17.
1. 1) Get a netbook. Get a set of Lessons 7-11 Conversation Questions handout. (Kinga, Jerry, Nick, Casey, Carson) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Review characters. 3) Teach new characters (匹, 金, 鱼, 条, 可, 爱).
2. Pair work: Skit brainstorm session.


Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Class (2/3/17)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese early inventions. 2) I can showcase my mastery of 20 Chinese characters. 3) I can explore origami. 4) I can understand Chinese counting principle and I can count from zero to one hundred.
Homework: Quiz #1: Monday, 2/13/17.
1. 1) Return papers. (Frank) talks to Ms. Chang, please. Get a copy of Numbers handout. 2) Test #2.
2. 1) Video clips: compass / gun powder. 2) Origami time. 3) Teach Chinese counting principle.


Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (2/6/17)

Objectives: 1) I can solve transformation problems with a partner. 2) I can understand various angle relationships and I can calculate angle measures.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 2/6/17-2/12/17. 2) Unit #12 quiz: tomorrow, 2/7/17. 4) MathXL #13 is due on Wednesday, 2/8/17. 4) POW#16 is due on Friday, 2/10/17.
1. 1) Take one copy of Angles vocabulary handout. Return papers. 2) Clarify a few confusing problems on POW#15 & Unit #12 Study Guide. A table of common symbols for geometry has been posted to Google Classroom. 3) Log in Unit #13. Go over vocabulary handout + common notations for lines / angles. 4) Watch Angles and Transversals video (2:52). 5) Go over Unit #13 practice #1.
2. Seat work: POW #16 + i-Ready + MathXL #13.
