Procedures for 2/2/17

Procedure for HS 1P/ 2P Chinese IV Class (2/2/17)

Objectives: 1) I can create a skit with 2 partners. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can prepare for chapter test.
功课: 1) Vocabulary quiz: tomorrow, 2/3/17. 2) Lesson Three chapter test: Monday, 2/6/17.
Procedure:
1. Get a netbook. Browse through cooking lesson pictures.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <=> Pair work: skit brainstorm session <=> 1) seat work: 2 videos w/ comprehension questions (FA: 30 points) + reading comprehension and listening comprehension questions in the study guide (answer key will be available over this weekend). 2) group work: brainstorm your lesson three skit.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (2/2/17)

Objectives: 1) I can sight read characters accurately and fluently. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese New Year. 3) I can create a skit with a partner.
Homework: 1) Review characters for quiz. 2) Know 4 characters by Friday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one netbook. Take one copy of Movie Unit Story Map. (Kinga) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Sign up Saturday Library event, if interested. 2) Simulation: speed character recognition. 3) Go over story map handout. 3) Chinese New Year video clip.
2. Pair activity: 1) Review characters. 2) Skit brainstorm session.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Class (2/2/17)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese leisure activities. 2) I can say and write Chinese numbers. 3) I can explore origami.
Homework: Review learned 20 characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (16 characters). 2) Teach (九, 十, 百, 零). Collect.
2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese leisure activities (chess, go, mahjong). 2) Showcase artifacts. 3) Audio Files. 4) Origami time.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (2/2/17)

Objectives: I can apply dilation to solve problems with images with similarity.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 1/30/17-2/3/17. 2) Unit #12 Practice worksheet #N is due tomorrow. 3) POW#15 is due this Friday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Turn in Unit #12 Practice #2 today. 2) Login Unit #12 unit page and open document “Dilation Introduction. Watch the video, please. 3) Clarify a few confusing problems in worksheets #1, #2, and #N.
2. Seat work: POW #15 + i-Ready. + unit #12 practice worksheet #N.
