Procedures for 2/22/17

Procedure for HS 1P/ 2P Chinese IV Class (2/22/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about shopping. 2) I can sing a Chinese song. 3) (2P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese oracle inscription.
功课: Song singing task is due on Friday, 2/24/17. 4) I can present a simple shopping skit independently or with a partner.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. (1P) Return skit papers. 2) Review learned characters + terms (牌子, 质量,正好,半价). 3) Warm up. Shopping skit presentation.
2. 1) Song time (朋友). 2) (2P) Video clip: 殷墟 (yīn xū)–oracle bones with inscription. 3) (2P) Work on Listening comprehension part of Lesson Four Study Guide.

 

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (2/22/17)

Objectives: I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can talk about my language skills and nationality.
Homework: 1) Complete oral exam tomorrow. 2) Know 5 characters on/before Friday, 2/24/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Captains check completion of Lesson Eight character definitions. (Kinga, Malina, Karli, Kevin, Carson, Treyven/Aidan, Julianna) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Draw a number as your day of taking oral exam. 3) Go over oral exam outlines. 4) Introduce Lesson Eight.

2. 1) Teach (中国, 文,人,汉,语). 2) Oral exam <=> practice oral exam + watch enrichment videos.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Class (2/22/17)

Objectives: 1) I can create an art project by applying what I have learned in class. 2) I can present my oral presentation in Chinese.
Homework: Complete your art project tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (11 colors + sibling terms). 2) Quiz #2. 3) When you are done with your oral presentation, turn it in to Ms. Chang for credit, please.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral presentation <=> work on your art project.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (2/22/17)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my unit quiz. 2) I can express number in scientific notation format.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 2/20/17-2/26/17. 2) Unit #14 quiz: tomorrow. 3) Unit #15 Practice #1 is due on Friday, 2/24/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Go over requirement for Study Guide #5 (Show all your work). 2) Small group instruction, if needed.

2. 1) Seat work: Unit #14 Study Guide + i-Ready + MathXL #15. 2)Login Google Classroom and watch unit #15 video (3:11). 3) Try Geometry vocabulary review game for treat.
