Procedures for 5/9/17

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (5/9/17)

Objectives: 1) I can create / present a skit independently or with a partner. 2) I can describe classmates’ personality traits. 3) I can talk about boyfriend and girlfriend.
Homework: 1) Study text pages 181 / 183. 2) Personality traits writing task is due on Thursday, 5/11/17.
1. 1) Get a netbook. 2) Warm up + Skit #8 presentation (1P: Michael / Ian, Josh). 3) Read / Teach text page 183.
2. 1) (1P: Grace, Ian, Aaron, Patrick, Hanna, Evy, Rianna, Jenna; 2P: Paul, Shaan) randomly draw 8 classmates + view final exam schedule + go over personality traits writing assignment. 2) Seat work: draft your sentences + makeup work.


Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (5/9/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my preferences of food. 2) I can create a skit with a partner. 3) I can prepare for my final exam.
Homework: 1) Know 5 learned characters on/before Wednesday. 5/10/17. 2) Final day for any retake: Friday, 5/19/17. 3) Skit is due this Friday, 5/12/17. Presentation starts from Monday, 5/15/17.
1. 1) (Nick, Karli) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Ask Ms. Chang for a pamphlet for Asian Festival next Saturday and Sunday, if interested. 2) Introduce this Friday’s 6th grade project.
2. 1) Go over Lesson Eleven conversation questions handout. 2) Pass out Culture reading / exit slips. 3) Pair work: draft your skit + practice conversation questions.


Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (5/9/17)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Chinese counting principle and I can count from zero to one hundred. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers. 3) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting papers and rock, scissors, and paper game.
Homework: 1) Quiz #1: Monday, 5/15/17. 2) Review counting principle.
1. 1) Take one number table handout. (Paige, Caroline) talks to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Go over number table handout. 3) Count from zero to one hundred.
2. 1) Culture reading: lucky and unlucky numbers + Finger Guessing game. 2) Complete cutting paper patterns. 3) Game time: Rock, Scissors and Paper.


Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (5/9/17)

Objectives: I can complete an i-Ready diagnostic assessment.
Homework: i-Ready cycle: 5/8/17-5/14/17.
1. 1) (Shawn, Jacob) turn in equations W/S, please. Treat will be given for the top 6 students who complete i-Ready diagnostic check. 2) i-Ready diagnostic assessment.
