Procedures for 5/10/17

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (5/10/17)

Objectives: 1) I can create / present a skit independently or with a partner. 2) I can describe classmates’ personality traits. 3) I can talk about boyfriend and girlfriend.
Homework: 1) Study text pages 181 / 183. 2) Personality traits writing task is due on Thursday, 5/11/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. 2) Seat work: draft your sentences + makeup work. + study session.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (5/10/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my preferences of food. 2) I can create a skit with a partner. 3) I can prepare for my final exam.
Homework: 1) Know 11 learned characters on/before tomorrow, 5/11/17. 2) Skit is due this Friday, 5/12/17. 3) Culture exit slips…
Procedure:
1. 1) (Nick, Karli) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Take a netbook. 2) Sign up your stations for Friday’s 6th grade project. 3) Quick review / Teach (堡, 治,熱,筷,做,菜).
2. 1) Go over 2 study guides for lesson six and final exam. 2) Pass out Culture reading / exit slips. 3) Pair work: draft your skit + practice conversation questions.

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (5/10/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese early inventions. 3) I can explore origami and rock, scissors, and paper game.
Homework: 1) Quiz #1: Monday, 5/15/17. 2) Review counting principle.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one oral presentation handout. (Andrew, Caroline) talks to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Go over oral presentation handout. 3) Write / Read sentences #1-#2. 4) Go over quiz #1 paper.
2. 1) Complete Finger Guessing game. 2) Video clips: compass / printing. 3) Origami time.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (5/10/17)

Objectives: I can complete an i-Ready diagnostic assessment.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 5/8/17-5/14/17. 2) Scatter plot activity is due and students should present on Friday, 5/12/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) (Jacob) turn in equations W/S, please. Treat will be given for the top 6 students who complete i-Ready diagnostic check. A scatter plot activity has been posted to Google Classroom. An announcement for accessing i-Ready was posted to Google Classroom, too. 2) i-Ready diagnostic assessment.
