Procedures for 5/17/17

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (5/17/17)

Objectives: I can prepare for my chapter test and final exam.
Homework: 1) Last day for all retakes / makeup work: Friday, 5/19/17. 2) Optional Lesson Six oral exam starts from tomorrow to Friday.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. (1P: Natalia, Abigail, Ian; 2P: Shaan, Erica, Grant) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Check PB for current grade, please. 2) Quick review. 3) Lesson Six vocabulary quiz.
2. 1) Review Lesson Six + final exam oral prompts. 2) Seat work: draft your sentences + makeup work + conversation questions practice.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (5/17/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about food & cooking and chopsticks holding skills. 2) I can present a skit with a partner. 3) I can prepare for my final exam.
Homework: 1) Know 27 learned characters on/before Friday, 5/19/17. 2) Review final oral exam questions. 3) Complete Lesson Eleven VC on/before Friday, 5/19/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) (Karli, Nick, Treyven) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Return work. Check PB for current grade. Lesson Eleven VC activities have been posted. Today’s “lunch group at HS”. 2) Quick review / Read text passages. 3) Teach (鸡, 肉, 看, 到, 别).
2. 1) Go over final oral exam questions. 3) Seat work: Fix PPT slides + VC activities.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (5/17/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can name colors in Chinese. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese food. 4) I can understand the requirements for art project.
Homework: Quiz #2 (sibling terms + colors): Monday, 5/22/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return draft #1. Check two origami products. (Paige, Andrew, Chloe, Kamila, Taylor, Maya / Anna, Jana, Trey, ) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Take one copy of art project handout. Check PB for accuracy. 2) Quick review. 3) Teach (lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se).
2. 1) Teach (shang). 2) Write sentence #6. Read sentences 1-#6. 3) Culture reading: Chinese food. 4) Video clips: Chinese dish / cold dish with auspicious names.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (5/17/17)

Objectives: I can create and present a scenario with a scatter plot data.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 5/15/17-5/21/17. 2) Negative exponent worksheet is due at the end of the class period.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. (Grant, Mary) talk to Ms. Chang, please. (Tyler/Jesse, Jacob/Jake, Lily/Vanja, Jimmy, Bobby, Leo, Ian / Connor) turn in your matching work. (Grant, Jacob, Jimmy, Neela, Hudson, Jake, Ian, Sofia) turn in your equation worksheet, please. Check PB for current grade.
2. Pair activity. Due at the end of the class period.
