Procedures for 5/11/2017

Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (5/11/17)

Objectives: 1) I can create / present a skit independently or with a partner. 2) I can describe classmates’ personality traits. 3) I can talk about boyfriend and girlfriend.
Homework: 1) Lesson Six vocabulary quiz: Tuesday, 5/16/17. 2) Personality traits writing task is due tonight.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. 2) Warm up + Skit #8 presentation (1P: Josh). 3) Quick review. 4) Finish up Lesson Six.
2. 1) (1P: Grace, Aaron, Rianna, Jenna; 2P: Paul) randomly draw 8 classmates + view final exam schedule + go over personality traits writing assignment. 2) Seat work: draft your sentences + makeup work.

 

Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (5/11/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my preferences of food. 2) I can create a skit with a partner. 3) I can prepare for my final exam.
Homework: 1) Know 17 learned characters on Monday, 5/15/17. 2) Skit is due tomorrow. 3) Assignment of slides of favorite food / drinks / chopsticks holding skill / cooking skills is due on Monday, 5/15/2017. 4) Skit presentation starts from Monday, 5/15/2017.
Procedure:
1. 1) Get a netbook. Go over tomorrow’s project details. (Karli) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 3 supplementary terms handout have been e-mailed to you for your PPT slides, skit, etc. 2) Quick review / Teach (想, 水,果,汁,牛,奶).
2. 1) Go over answer key to 6 culture exit slips. 3) Pair work: draft your skit + practice conversation questions + PPT.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (5/11/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese early inventions and Chinese leisure activities. 3) I can explore origami.
Homework: 1) Quiz #1: Monday, 5/15/17. 2) Review counting principle.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. 2) Teach (jia, you, ge ren). 3) Write sentence #3. Read sentences 1-#3.
2. 1) Video clips: gun powder / paper. 2) Culture reading: Chinese leisure activities. 3) Showcase artifacts (chop/stamp, mahjong, Chinese chess, Go, jump chess). 4) Origami time.

 

Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (5/11/17)

Objectives: I can create and present a scenario with a scatter plot data.
Homework: 1) i-Ready cycle: 5/8/17-5/14/17. 2) Present your activity in class tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Treat time (Leo, Vanja, Alyssa, Tyler, Neela, Hudson, TJ, Jacob). 2) Team activity (Scatter Plot data w/story).
