Procedure for HS 1P/2P Chinese IV Class (5/8/17)

Objectives: 1) I can create / present a skit independently or with a partner. 2) I can describe classmates’ personality traits. 3) I can sharpen my listening comprehension skill through viewing video clips.
Homework: 1) Study text pages 181 / 183. 2) Personality traits writing task is due on Thursday, 5/11/17.
1. 1) Get a netbook. Ask Ms. Chang for a pamphlet for Asian Festival this Saturday, if interested. View final exam schedule. 2) Quick review. 3) Warm up + Skit #8 presentation (1P: Michael / Ian, Josh). 4) Read / Teach text page 183. 4) Go over personality traits writing assignment.
2. 1) Seat work: randomly draw 8 classmates / draft your sentences. 2) Makeup work.


Procedure for MS 5P Chinese I Class (5/8/17)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my preferences of food. 2) I can create a skit with a partner.
Homework: 1) Know 5 learned characters on/before Wednesday. 5/10/17. 2) Final day for any retake: Friday, 5/19/17. 3) Skit is due this Friday, 5/12/17. Presentation starts from Monday, 5/15/17.
1. 1) (Nick, Karli, Victoria) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Show schedule for next 3 weeks!! 2) Teach (吃, 喝, 饿, 渴, 东).
2. 1) Go over Lessons 10 & 11 skit rubric. 2) Pair work time.


Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (5/8/17)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Chinese characters. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese paper cuts and explore Chinese folk art of cutting papers.
Homework: Quiz #1: Monday, 5/15/17.
1. 1) Turn in your number character writing assignment. 2) Quick review. 3) Test #2.
2. 1) Video clips: Paper Cuts + character animation (月, 木). 2) Cutting paper patterns.


Procedure for MS 8P Pre-Algebra Class (5/8/17)

Objectives: I can complete an i-Ready diagnostic assessment.
Homework: i-Ready cycle: 5/8/17-5/14/17.
1. 1) (Tommy, Shawn, Jacob) turn in equations W/S, please. Return papers. Treat will be given for the top 6 students who complete i-Ready diagnostic check. 2) i-Ready diagnostic assessment.
