Procedures for August 22, 2017

Procedure for HS 1P/3P Algebra I (8/22/2017)

Objectives: 1) I can complete a student inventory / questionnaire. 2) I can understand class syllabus. 3) I can know where my math skills are through taking a pretest.
Homework: Student Inventory. Due tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) (1P: Erik) talks to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Picture day: taken at your study hall time tomorrow.

2. 1) Get a netbook with the number matched your class number. 2) Follow the procedure to enroll your eTextbook. Test logging in, please. Return your netbook to the right slot and charge it, please. 3) Pass out and sign off your textbook hardcopy with details, please.
3. 1) Go over course syllabus. 2) Go over student inventory questionnaire.  Turn in if completed.
4. Explain / take Pretest (30 minutes).

 

Procedures For MS 5P Chinese I Class (8/22/17)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s grading policy. 2) I can fill out a student inventory. 3) I can learn to say and write my Chinese name.
Homework: 1) Chinese name writing assignment (6 rows in total; 2 rows for each character: 5 points) is due on Tuesday, 8/29/17. 2) Quiz #1 (saying/writing your Chinese name: 12 points): Tuesday, 8/29/17.  3) Student inventory is due tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Adjusted schedule for the next 2 weeks! Go over fire drill procedure. (Calvin, Chris, Vincent, Hallie, Rachel, John, Neela, Jacob) talk to Ms. Chang, for E/I tutoring, please. Ann talks to Ms. Chang after class, please. 2) Go over classroom routines. 3) Complete Student Inventory.
2. 1) Log in to your gmail account. Create a folder and label it as Chinese I class. Drag all Ms. Chang’s emails to this folder from now on. 2) Read the e-mail Ms. Chang sent you this morning regarding syllabus / Chinese name.  Download 2 attachments.
3. 1) Read / share letters from last year’s students. 2) Introduce 1 website (pinyin chart).  Listen to the pronunciation of your Chinese.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Exploratory Chinese Class (8/22/17)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s grading policy. 2) I can complete a student survey. 3) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.
Homework: 1) Review 1 learned greeting term. 2) Test #1: Wednesday, 9/6/2017.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one greetings handout. Any signature slip? Go over fire drill procedure. 2) Go over Ms. Chang’s grading policy.
2. 1) Complete Student Survey. Collect. 2) Go over Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin / teach Chinese greetings terms (Ni Hao).
