Procedure for 8/29/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (8/29/17)

Objectives: 1) I can describe a parabola, using its intercepts, minima, maxima, vertex, symmetry, and whether it is positively or negatively oriented. 2) I can showcase my mastery of simplifying and evaluating expressions.
Homework: 1) Quiz #2: Thursday (Diamond). No calculator! 2) Section 1.2.1 Page 16 (1-25).
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. (1P: Marco, Miranda) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Share Student Inventory / Questionnaire summary tomorrow. 3) Exchange H/W and go over answer key. Collect. 4) Take Math Note (page 16) in your learning log #3rd entry, please.
2. 1) Section 1.1.3. 2) Quiz #1. 3) Homework time.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (8/29/17)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate vowels and consonants. 2) I can locate and distinguish the differences among various administrative units in China.
Homework: 1) Review m section. 2) China reading packet is due in class tomorrow. 3) Quiz #2 (bpmf / dtnl): Friday, 9/8/17.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. Greetings! Turn in Chinese name writing assignment. Pass out / go over a set of China Reading packet #2. 2) Dictation/Sounding out loud (b, p).
2. 1) Go over m section. 2) Quiz #1. 3) Pair work/seat work: China reading packet #2.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (8/29/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greetings terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese school and how Chinese picture characters evolved.
Homework: 1) Review learned terms. 2) Test #1 (greetings): Friday, 9/1/17 (?). 3) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:
1. 1) Take one copy of square paper. (Logan P.) talks to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review. 3) Teach (dong le ma, dong le, bu dong).
2. 1) Go over square paper. 2) Teach (木, 口). 3) Video clips: Chinese schools + character animation (木, 口).
