Procedures for 8/30/17

HS 1P/3P Algebra I Class (8/30/17)

Objectives: 1) I can write summary statements describing the graph of a square root function. 2) I can generate a list of questions that will facilitate future relation investigations.
Homework: 1) Quiz #2 (4 diamond problems): tomorrow. 2) Section 1.2.1 Pages 19-20 (1-33 ~ 1-37).
Procedure:
1. 1) Return all papers. Inform Ms. Chang of date/time that you want to retake quiz #1. A tutor, Ben Lui, will come and stay from 1P-3P. (1P: Mia / Emma G., Amir; 3P: Logan) talk to Ms. Chang, please.
2) Some statistics for your reference. 3) Exchange and grade H/W. Collect. 4) Practice for quiz #2.
2. 1) Fix and complete the activity from yesterday for presentation… 2) Group activity: Section 1.2.1 Square Root Equation.

 

MS 5P Chinese I Class (8/30/17)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate vowels and consonants. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about major cities in China. 3) I can say greetings terms.
Homework: 1) Review ‘f’ section. 2) Review greetings terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greetings. Return papers. (Jimmy, Jesse) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Captains collect China reading packet #2. Exchange and check answers. 3) Dictation and Sounding out loud (b, p, m). 4) Teach ‘f’ section.

2. 1) Video clips: Tianjing / Chongqing. 2) Teach greetings terms. 3) Pair activity: practice saying greetings terms.

 

MS 7P Exploratory Chinese (8/30/17)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greetings terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Review unit 1 greetings terms.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (greetings / 2 characters). 2) Teach (shang ke, xia ke, dui bu qi, mei guan xi, tong xue men hao). 3) Teach (山, 火).
2. Video clip: character animation (山).
